Wells Christmas Tide
From 10am onwards there will be a whole host of street entertainment throughout the town, and you betcha there’s gonna be hog roasts and hot apple cider! There will also be a large selection of craft and produce stalls on the car park of the Wells Health Centre, Staithe Street and The Quay.
Once enjoying the delights of the town, you will be able to catch the Christmas Light Switch on at approximately 4.30pm, followed by the traditional lantern parade to the quayside.
Santa will arrive by boat around 5pm, followed by fantastic fireworks over the marshes!
Wells Christmas Tide 2021
A fabulous event held the first weekend of December, including food, entertainment, Father Christmas arriving by boat, and fireworks!
10am - Stalls open in Staithe St, Wells Health Centre car park and Wells Maltings
10.30am onwards - Street entertainment starts
4pm: Official switching on of the town's Xmas lights outside the Arthur Howell Deli in Staithe Street, followed by lantern parade down to the quay!
5pm: Santa arrives at Wells Quay by boat to greet the crowds, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over Wells marshes.
Will's Beach Clean - Stiffkey to Wells
COVID-19 has seen an increase in single-use items such as takeaway packaging, plastic gloves and masks; as well people feeling more isolated and lonely. The Million Mile Clean Campaign aims to bring people together, reconnect communities and help clean up our coastlines along the way.
